I’ve had the nudge to write for a while, to share with others the journey the Lord has taken and is taking me on. I’m not one who wants a platform or a spotlight though, no matter how small or big. I like living a quiet life, tucked away from the busyness of social media and other distractions.
The urge to write has not subsided though. It seems that the Lord keeps reminding me through others that He’s given me a gift that’s meant meant to be shared for the sake of building others. How can I say no to that?
Finally, after a year or so of wrestling with this idea, I figured I should put to use what the Lord has placed in my hands for the sake of serving others. If you happen to stumble across this blog, I pray you are encouraged and refreshed in some way. That’s it.
This week, I’ve pondered on the beauty of marriage. It is a commitment that will either dismantle or build you. The ONLY reason I am in a vibrant marriage is because the Lord helped me pick my husband. Getting married wasn’t in my plans. I had only ever seen marriage from a negative perspective. But wow, I never knew marriage could be so beautiful—to know and be known fully without the fear of infidelity or divorce. Marriage is underrated in my opinion, but I think it’s because we don’t see enough healthy marriages to inspire a wholesome, lifelong covenant. If you don’t have a marriage you can look up to, well I pray my story can provide a different perspective.

Still, the urge to write hasn’t subsided. It seems the Lord keeps reminding me—often through others—that He’s given me a gift that’s meant to be shared for the sake of building others up. How can I say no to that?
